The journal covers issues of operative surgery, topographic and clinical anatomy, teaching of surgical disciplines (literary reviews, scientific publications, reviews, etc.).

The purpose of the journal carrying out activities in order to meet the needs of readers in familiarization with modern surgical technologies, surgical techniques based on knowledge of topographic anatomy, which can increase the competence of a doctor in his practical surgical activities.
The journal is intended to unite practicing physicians and teachers of medical universities: it is devoted to applied issues of teaching anatomy, topographic and clinical anatomy.
The journal publishes articles by both Russian and foreign authors.
The journal is a source of up-to-date information in the field of surgery, anatomy and teaching of surgical disciplines.
